Re: New York Independent System Operator, Inc., Request to Withdraw
June 30, 2011 Filing in Docket No. ER11-3994-000
Dear Ms. Bose:
Pursuant to Section Sections 35.9 and 35.15 of the regulations of the Federal
Energy Regulatory Commission (“Commission”), the New York Independent System
Operator, Inc. (“NYISO”) submitted a Notice of Termination related to a Large Generator Interconnection Agreement (“LGIA”) among the NYISO, Niagara Mohawk Power
Corporation d/b/a National Grid (“National Grid) as the Connecting Transmission Owner, and Jordanville Wind, LLC as the Developer (“Notice of Termination”).1 The LGIA was designated as Service Agreement No. 1586 under the NYISO OATT.
NYISO submitted the Notice of Termination for filing in both a new docket,
Docket No. ER11-3915-000 (“June 29 Notice of Termination”), and in the original docket number associated with the LGIA, Docket No. ER10-1507-000 (“June 30 Notice of
Termination”).
On July 26, 2011, a Commission Staff member called to notify the NYISO that the June 30 Notice of Termination had been given a new docket number, Docket No. ER11-
3994-000, rather than being docketed under the original LGIA docket, Docket No. ER10-
1507-000. Commission Staff requested that the NYISO withdraw the June 30 Notice of Termination docketed in Docket No. ER11-3994-000. Accordingly, in this filing the
NYISO respectfully requests to withdraw the June 30 Notice of Termination, leaving the June 29 Notice of Termination pending in Docket No. ER11-3915-000.
The NYISO will send an electronic link to this filing to the official representative
of each of its customers, to each participant on its stakeholder committees, to the New
York Public Service Commission, and to the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities. In
1 Capitalized terms not otherwise defined in this letter have the meaning set forth in Attachments S, X and Z of the NYISO’s Open Access Transmission Tariff (“OATT”).
