FERC Form 714, Annual Electric Balancing Authority Area and Planning Area Report for Calendar Year 2016 (RM07-14-000)

Dear Secretary Bose:

On June 1, 2017, the New York Independent System Operator, Inc. (“NYISO”) filed a motion requesting a 32 day extension of the filing deadline for its Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (“Commission”) Form No. 714, Annual Electric Balancing Authority Area and Planning Area Report. The request was made due to unexpected technical difficulties NYISO encountered accessing and
utilizing the Form No. 714 software.

In its motion seeking an extension of time to file the NYISO stated that it would submit Form No. 714 shortly after the technical issues it encountered were resolved.  The technical difficulties the NYISO encountered have been resolved and the NYISO was able to complete and submit Form No. 714 this morning.
