Docket No.

EL21-7-000

NOTICE OF EXTENSION OF TIME

(October 23, 2020)

  1.                On October 16, 2020, the New York Independent System Operator, Inc. (NYISO) submitted a motion for extension of time of 15 days, from November 3, 2020, to November 18, 2020, to answer the complaint filed by Cricket Valley Energy Center LLC and Empire Generating Company, LLC (together, Complainants) against NYISO in the above-captioned proceeding (Complaint).  NYISO points to the significance and complexity of the issues raised by the Complaint, as well as to other high-priority tasks for its subject-matter experts.  NYISO states that its requested extension will provide a reasonable time for NYISO and other parties to address the Complaint so that there will be a complete and well-developed record for the Commission to consider. The New York State Public Service Commission, New York Transmission Owners, Exelon Corporation, Clean Energy Advocates, New York Consumers, and the Utility Intervention Unit of the New York State Department of State filed answers supporting NYISO’s Motion. Complainants filed an answer opposing NYISO’s requested extension, in which they state that they would agree to a six day extension, until November 9, 2020, instead.
  2.                Upon consideration, notice is hereby given that the date for filing the answer, interventions, and protests to the Complaint is extended by 15 days, to and including November 18, 2020.
