Docket No. ER16-1404-000 1

UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

FEDERAL ENERGY REGULATORY COMMISSION

New York Independent System Operator, Inc.

Docket No.

ER16-1404-000

NOTICE OF EXTENSION OF TIME

(March 25, 2020)

On March 19, 2020, the New York Independent System Operator, Inc. (NYISO) filed a request for a 14-day extension of time, to April 6, 2020, to submit tariff revisions in compliance with the Commission’s directives in its February 20, 2020 order on compliance (February Order) in the above-captioned proceeding.[1]  NYISO contends that it needs additional time to comply with the directives in the February Order concerning the renewable resource exemption to NYISO’s buyer-side market power mitigation rules.

By notice issued March 19, 2020 in Docket No. AD20-11-000, the deadline for entities to make non-statutory filings required by the Commission, such as compliance filings, was extended to May 1, 2020.[2]  The Extension Notice granted NYISO an extension of time until May 1, 2020 to submit its compliance filing.  Notwithstanding the Commission’s grant of an extension beyond NYISO’s extension request, NYISO may submit its compliance filing within the 14-day timeframe proposed in its extension request
