v.

New York Independent System Operator, Inc.

Docket No.

EL15-64-000

NOTICE OF EXTENSION OF TIME

(December 16, 2015)

On December 7, 2015, the New York Independent System Operator, Inc. (NYISO) filed a Motion for Extension of Time (Motion) to extend the deadline for submitting its compliance filing implementing a self-supply exemption and renewable resources exemption to NYISO’s buyer-side market power mitigation rules in the above-referenced docket by 45 days, or no later than February 21, 2016.  NYISO states that it needs more time to obtain and consider stakeholder input, and to develop and file a compliance proposal.  On December 11, 2015, Independent Power Producers of New York, Inc. (IPPNY) filed an answer to the Motion, supporting the Motion with regard to the self-supply exemption, but arguing that the Commission should stay the compliance filing with regard to the renewable resources exemption until 60 days after the Commission issues a ruling on ISO New England Inc.’s renewable resources exemption.  On December 14, 2015, NYISO filed an answer to IPPNY’s answer, rebutting IPPNY’s contentions with regard to the renewable resources exemption.

Upon consideration, notice is hereby given that NYISO’s Motion is granted and the deadline for NYISO to submit its compliance filing is extended to and including February 22, 2016.
